Help close the prevailing wage loophole in Massachusetts!

We have a critical opportunity to defend our work, our wages, and our labor standards—and we need your support.

Right now, a loophole in Massachusetts law allows contractors to dodge prevailing wage laws by moving construction work offsite. It’s a backdoor attack on our wages and benefits, and hurts us all.

The custom fabrication bill H.2162/S.1318 will close that loophole. It ensures that construction work traditionally done onsite—even if it is moved offsite—pays the prevailing wage on publicly funded projects. No exceptions.

But this bill won’t pass unless we take action. Please take one minute to tell your elected official to support H.2162/S.1318.

If passed, this legislation will:

  • Protect good jobs and prevent wage theft
  • Keep taxpayer dollars circulating in our local communities
  • Promote fair pay and high-quality construction work
  • Help ensure projects are completed on time and on budget

Your location shouldn’t dictate whether you earn a prevailing wage.

Take one minute to tell your state representative and senator to support H.2162/S.1318.

This is about protecting good jobs, strong communities, and the future of our trades. Let’s get it done.
